The Edison PTA Go Green Committee aims to reduce our impact on the environment by providing programs and education that encourage our students and the school district to reduce, reuse, and recycle in school and at home.
Volunteers Needed!
Parents who would like to learn more about our Go Green program can sign-up on Konstella, email the Committee Chairs at gogreen@edisonpta.org, or or sign up at Back to School Night in your student's classroom.
Earth Week
Every year Go Green aims to organize and provide Earth Week events to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd.
Student Campaign for Plastic Free Alameda
Last April 2017, Alameda students wrote letters to city leadership advocating for a “Straws on Request” policy at Alameda restaurants. This April 2018, Edison students - with students from schools across the city - wrote letters to enforce this new local law. Over 620 letters from more than 10 schools were sent to 105 different Alameda food businesses.
