Edison's Art Program provides classroom art lessons for all Edison students with our dedicated art teacher, with the PTA helping provide funding for art supplies.
Spring Auction Art
Our Art Auction Docent Program gives parents the chance to get creative and spend some special time in the classroom! Each classroom has a lead docent and, when possible, additional parent helpers who work with the teacher and students to create a unique piece of artwork for our annual Spring Gala & Auction Fundraiser. From brainstorming the idea to getting hands-on with the kids, docents help turn a classroom project into something truly special - and something the whole Edison community can enjoy bidding on at the auction.
It's a fun, creative way to volunteer, and no art experience is necessary! In recent years, our classroom artwork has brought in approximately $28,000-$30,000 each year for Edison, making this both a memorable experience for the kids and an important fundraiser for our school.

End of Year Art Show
The End-of-Year Art Show is a wonderful way to celebrate all the creativity and hard work our students have put into their art throughout the year! At Open House, artwork from every student, including projects created through our Art Docent program, is displayed in the MPR for families to enjoy. It's a special opportunity for students to proudly show off their work and share their favorite pieces with the people they love. After the show, students get to take their artwork home to keep and enjoy.

Parents who would like to learn more about our Art Docent program can sign-up on Konstella, email the Committee Chairs at artdocent@edisonpta.org, or sign up at Back to School Night in your student's classroom.
