Art Docents

Edison's Art Docent program provides classroom art lessons for all Edison students, and is entirely driven by parent volunteers. Monthly lessons cover a variety of art methods and related art history. No art or teaching experience is necessary to be an art docent. The lessons are prepared for you step-by step, and it is a really fun way to get in the classroom with the kids!

Spring Auction Art

Students and Art Docents also create a work of art to be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the PTA Spring Auction Fundraiser. Check out these amazing pieces that some of our PTA parents are lucky to own!

End of Year Art Show

The end of year Art Show - at Open House at the end of the school year - is a great chance to see all the wonderful work students have done throughout the year.  Art from every student and all of the Art Docent lessons are displayed in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR).  Students are then able to take home their work and share them with their families.
